Well, the inevitable happened and lockdown is upon us. All adult classes are moving online, effective immediately. A full timetable will be available soon, as we activate our backup plans.
Virtual classes will be run through a video conferencing program called Zoom. Signups will happen from your account using the regular class pass system, with classes running at multiple times during the week to keep you sane and in shape while you can’t make it into the studio. You’ll be able to choose between skills like Conditioning for Aerialists, Flexibility, Contortion, Juggling & Pilates, taught live by an array of our talented trainers, so we can provide real time feedback and assistance.
We’re also putting together some resources for you to work through whenever you have free time and energy, which we’ll post on Facebook and I’ll keep adding to the bottom of this post. Now is a great time to work on flexibility and strength goals!
We’re a small business and this is going to be a tough time, so we’re hoping to provide enough support to keep you and Akimbo going through the next few months. If you are able to, we really appreciate your support through memberships.
A lot of you may be in a similar position though, so if you would rather pause your membership for now, you can do so through your account. Just click “My Subscription” on the side menu, and you’ll be able to suspend your membership until things have settled down. You’ll still have access to the free resources we’re creating, so hopefully won’t get too out of practise before we’re allowed to resume real life classes!
